Your country is blocked

Existing/Premium users can still log in HERE

For everyone else – unfortunately your government/repressive-regime has deemed you too dumb to make decisions about what you are allowed to see on the internet, so we’ve been forced to block guest visitors from your country.

However!

All is not lost, because as is typical of half-assed UK policymaking, they have failed to take into account how any of the technology involved actually works and how people work, so you can bypass these blocks quite easily.

All you need is a VPN (virtual private network) which is a little program you run on your computer/tablet or mobile device which creates an encrypted “tunnel” to bypass your country’s filtering and gives you an IP address in another country, at which point you can continue to enjoy visiting whatever websites you like without being spied on or restricted (like this one).

Using a VPN has the added benefit of hiding the urls of the sites you visit, which your UK ISP is now required by law to store, even if you’re not actually doing anything illegal. Big Brother much?

Well you (collectively) voted for this so enjoy :). If you’d like to try and change that, Open Rights Group has a petition going on which you can sign HERE ( if you enjoy porn and freedom of speech you should probably sign).

FREE VPN

You can get a free VPN from Avira (the antivirus people) here Phantom VPN from Avira (click the “no thanks I just want VPN” option).  Just install it and choose an ip from another country and then you’ll be able to visit this site freely once again. There is also an app for Phantom VPN for your mobile devices, just search in Google play or The apple store. It has a 500mb/month limit but that should be enough to get you started.

OR USE TOR

Alternatively you can use TOR, but please make sure you have scripts *enabled* so that this site works properly. You won’t be able to log in without it (tor normally has scripts disabled by default).

how to enable scripts in TOR

If you still have problems please just ask any teenager for help e.g. ask how they access the piratebay, kickass torrents or whatever and I’m sure they’ll be able to help (which are also ineffectively banned).

Free vs Paid-for VPNs

Free VPNs will usually be limited in some way, e.g. limited bandwidth /speedor you’ll only be able to download a certain amoutn of data per month. There are paid-for options available, some of which are very good.

Our favourite VPNs are:

Privatetunnel.com  – good data speeds, you buy bandwidth (e.g. 50gb for $9.99) which doesn’t expire and you just top up when you’ve used it. We’ve been using them for a year or two and they’ve been very good. There’s also an app available for Android and IOS so browsing securely from your mobile device couldn’t be easier.

Cryptostorm.is – excellent speeds, good value and total anonymity (if you pay with bitcoin) but they also accept credit cards via stripe. There’s a connection “widget” for windows which makes connection really easy, though connecting on mobile devices isn’t so easy. We’ve been using Cryptostorm for just over a year and their system has always been excellent, plus they bridge you to the darknet so you can access .onion and .i2p sites without having to use TOR.
